We could probably do most of this without actually meeting up. What do you guys think about the slideshow idea? I think it would be cool to take pictures of our classes...or we could do video and teach the class how to make a short film. I found this link http://superlumi.nl/best-free-software-digital-art/
We could learn one of the video editing programs on there and teach it to the class. Since they are free, we wouldn't have to worry about making sure everyone had the program. I have a mini HDV camcorder, and my iPhone and compact digital camera both have video on them.
That sounds like a good idea. Don't forget, we have to turn in a group proposal on Wednesday, Oct 14, and I'm not sure exactly what needs to be put in it. Would you guys want to meet today at 5:15, 45 minutes after usual class time, and write it together? Or just delegate it out? I would prefer to meet up just because I'm confused about the contents of the group proposal. However, if you guys know what we need to write, then I'd be fine splitting up the work digitally.
Hey Sasha, Which idea do you like? The pic slideshow or the movie? I won't be able to meet today, so it would be better for me if we could do this digitally. Did you see this? http://mason.gmu.edu/~lsmithg/f09/f09teachprop.html I think we just need to explain how we plan to do each of those things. I can write up a draft and send it to you guys, if you want, and then you can add/revise stuff. Do you want to do it that way? I guess we just need to decide for sure what we want to do for the project, and I would have time tonight to work on the proposal. If we need to, I can meet before class tomorrow.
we could do both. the video to show how to do it then a slide show step by step process example? either one is fine. we have 45 to 60 minutes to present so i think we should do the one that takes up the most time. Thanks for sending me the link on what we need to do. That would be great if you could do the draft. If you need any help, writing the draft please call me at 619-865-3297 or email me at nvido@gmu.edu. Would you mind sending the draft via email instead of on the blog? Also, I won't be able to meet before class tomorrow because I come straight from practice. Sorry!
OK...So you want to teach the class how to make a short film? We can just make it about our class. I'm sure it would take 45-60 min. to teach how to do the editing and everything. And you're saying make like a PowerPoint with step by step instructions?
I'll write up a draft and email it to you guys by the morning so you can make any changes before class.
I thought we said Monday....?
